Life is beautiful! I see every session as a celebration of life and the love of a family but most especially, I see it at newborn sessions. It is so beautiful watching a sweet family love on their newest little one. I was able to capture big sister as a newborn so it was such a privilege to be asked back again and I just loved seeing them now as a family of four!! Their brand new daughter was just a dream, too!! Just a few days earthside, but it only takes seconds to steal your heart forever…and it was pretty clear how perfectly she fit into her family. Congrats again, M Family!! Your baby girl is just precious!

There’s something special about stepping into a house with a newborn. When I go to meet a newborn client or even a friend who’s just had a baby, I honestly get butterflies as I walk to the door. It’s that anticipation and quiet excitement before meeting a brand new, precious soul…a new family member to love and cherish! I was so happy for this sweet mama and daddy…their first child…a daughter!!! I was met with proud smiles as they introduced me to their baby girl. She was absolutely beautiful with an amazing head of full dark hair and tiny little features. And oh, how they loved on her!! I could have stayed all day to capture the way they looked at the tiny, new love of their lives. Also, can I say that any family that gives their little one the hashtag #theheiress, is pretty darn cool?! 🙂 Thank you again for welcoming me into your home so I could create these memories for you and meet your little one. Clearly she is meant for big things!

Precious baby. Our sweet daughter.

It still seems surreal to say that out loud. We have a daughter! It’s been three months since we saw this beautiful face for the first time (8 days late, I might add). I was a huge bundle of emotions and swirling thoughts and my mind was filled with the unknowns before she got here, but once she was? Once I heard her cry and they laid her sweet, sticky body on my chest? I was able to breathe. I took it all in and studied her little face and didn’t worry about the things to come. The first few weeks were tough adjusting and we still have crazy days but I have to say, I have love LOVED having her finally here!! She has the most amazing dark blue eyes that are lightening up by the day. Tiny fingers and long feet. Dark wispy hair at the back of her head and soft fuzzies on top. The saddest cry and the happiest wide mouth smile that has affectionately earned her the moniker “birdie” from me. She is filling out and is working on an impressive double chin and cheeks (which you won’t see in these photos since these are from the first month.) It’s amazing how a teeny tiny someone you’ve never met can instantly fill every corner of your heart and fit perfectly into your family. She is obsessed with her daddy, and our sweet boy is paying more attention to her everyday (he loves giving her high-fives. 🙂 ) And when she locks eyes on either one of them, it’s a special kind of beautiful. Those smiles are magic I tell you! These are some of my favorites from 8 days old and then a few weeks later. Just our crazy family. All piled up on the bed. Just how I like them ❤

 

 

Three sisters | Fort Worth Newborn Photographer

This pretty mama and I went to the same high school so I was so happy that she contacted me for her baby’s newborn photos! I’m slightly biased to families of three girls (being the oldest of three girls myself) so I know without a doubt how much fun these three will have growing, learning, and laughing through life together. I had such a wonderful time with this family! I was greeted warmly when I arrived and I left their home with big hugs from the oldest two…they were the sweetest! And it’s pretty clear how much they all adore their littlest love. Thanks again for sharing your family with me, C family!!

 

Wrapped | Fort Worth Newborn Photographer

After taking her maternity portraits and talking with this sweet mama for months, I was just beside myself with excitement to meet her precious daughter when she arrived!! This little one has the most incredible eyelashes and her parents completely wrapped around her tiny fingers…as it should be! This session was such a dream. Baby girl slept nearly the whole entire time which gave me lots of opportunity for those sweet, curly poses. She even gave us a few smiles! And baby smiles are on my all time favorite list…along with wrinkly toes of course. Congratulations again to this beautiful family of three!

Fall Colors | Fort Worth Maternity Photographer

I absolutely couldn’t wait for this couple to arrive so we could get started. We had a beautiful fall day and some gorgeous leaves just waiting to be used for a backdrop. I love having photo sessions at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens throughout the year, but sometimes in the fall you get extra lucky with some fantastic bright trees. This mom and dad to be were incredibly sweet and all smiles during their shoot. You can tell their baby girl is going to be one loved, spoiled little one! I had the best time at this session and I cannot wait for their sweet girl to arrive!!

There’s something extraordinary about walking into a hospital room and meeting a tiny “just hours old” baby. I’ve always thought so. Maybe after having a little one myself I see and feel it even more now. There’s the proud daddy and the glowing but exhausted mama and you can immediately feel the weight and the beauty of that moment. A new life. A warrior mama who has just done something pretty incredible. Sweet little eyes seeing the world for the first time. A family that just grew. Hearts expanded. Even energetic toddlers understand. The big brother and sister were so gentle with their new sibling and big sis couldn’t stop gazing and brushing her hair. I absolutely loved my time with this beautiful family. Thank you again for allowing me to capture the raw, the real, the first moments of your family of five and your new precious baby girl!

Bright | Fort Worth Family Photographer

I stopped by her house a few weeks before the session because she thought her backyard might make a great location. I love when a family suggests using their home for two reasons. One-it is their own space and they are comfortable and free to be themselves there! And two-it won’t look like any other session! I was greeted by two completely adorable babies. Just couldn’t get enough of their sweet faces!! It worked so well to go from inside their bright and beautiful home to out back and I was so happy their backyard had great trees and great light! It won’t work for every home (my backyard has no trees and a two story blocks the light for instance…) but I was so happy to give this family the updated shots they wanted as a family of four! Baby girl makes such a sweet addition to their already adorable family! It was so much fun! Thanks again, Y family!

Journey Part 2 | Fort Worth Newborn Photographer

After seeing my sweet niece for only about 20 minutes in the middle of the night, I was so excited to get back to the hospital to capture those tiny baby details with some lovely natural light streaming through the window (in between snuggles of course!) I have to say, seeing my sister and her hubby love on their precious girl was just beautiful. And OH my…the HAIR on this girl!!! Love, loved that red, fuzzy sweetness! Then just a few days later they were able to come to my home for her newborn photos (and more snuggles for me ( : Enjoy this second part of their story, and the first of this awesome adventure of parenthood! You three are a beautiful family and little girl is definitely blessed to have you two!!!

Just a few weeks after their gorgeous wedding, the newlyweds invited us over for lunch and (unbeknownst to us at the time) to reveal even more exciting news! I couldn’t believe my little sister was a mama!! And oh, to see their joy when they revealed that their little one was a little princess! I was thrilled to help them share their awesome news with these gender reveal photos, and then to document her beautiful bump a few months later!
