My sweet little niece is one and just getting so big!! I was so excited to do these photos for her in the same place where her mom and dad did her gender reveal!! The morning sunlight in this location always makes me swoon and I just couldn’t get enough of little one’s sweet scrunchy nose smile! Ah! Time just flies when you’re chasing a baby, right?! My sister and BIL have fit a whole lot of life in less than two years of marriage and I’ve loved getting to help capture this little sweetie from day 1! (Newborn post here) Though it’s been crazy for them, I love seeing the joy on their faces and how absolutely in love they are with their girl. Love you three so much!!
I just loved this laid back session so much!! There’s a spot close to their house where we’ve gone to take photos for two years now, but I’m so glad they suggested something different this year! This park turned out the be the perfect place for their session. We got some awesome shots in the grassy area, and when the kiddos needed a little break, we headed over to the playground so they could get some energy out. Happy kids=happy parents and beautiful photos! I just love the colors they chose too. Always remember y’all, coordinating not matching!! 😉 It was a great time with lovely people who just happen to be family. Love playing with my sweet nephews and niece and working to get photos that show their fun personalities. This first photo is definitely an all time favorite as is the hulk smash further down! Thanks again, K Family!
I arrived at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens early to walk around like always. It was beautiful, but hot like you’d expect for summer in Texas! I never can resist that place though…there are a ton of different areas to go that make lovely photos! As soon as this family got out of the car, I was sure we were going to have a great time. Beautiful people and adorable little girls!! Funny, sweet, and sassy and I just love that I was able to capture their fun personalities. Oh, and their shot with their daddy just may be one of my favorites ever!! Thanks again, y’all! I had the best time with your lovely family!
I knew these sweet people in college (Whoop!!) so it was such a joy for me to get to photograph their growing family! Little Miss C is seriously adorable with her bright blue eyes and dark hair!! They are just smitten with their girl and it’s pretty easy to see what a big fan she is of them. So much love with these three! Thanks again, G family!!
After seeing my sweet niece for only about 20 minutes in the middle of the night, I was so excited to get back to the hospital to capture those tiny baby details with some lovely natural light streaming through the window (in between snuggles of course!) I have to say, seeing my sister and her hubby love on their precious girl was just beautiful. And OH my…the HAIR on this girl!!! Love, loved that red, fuzzy sweetness! Then just a few days later they were able to come to my home for her newborn photos (and more snuggles for me ( : Enjoy this second part of their story, and the first of this awesome adventure of parenthood! You three are a beautiful family and little girl is definitely blessed to have you two!!!
And a few days later…
We got to spend time with this lovely family this weekend and I was reminded that I never posted their photos from a few months ago! They get bigger and cuter every time I see them!! I was so happy we were able to get a few updated photos for them last fall with the newest member of the family…baby L!! Sister wasn’t really having it during our little session (and I can’t blame her since we were all being eaten alive by mosquitos!! Same magical location as last year, but man, the bugs were pretty unbearable this time…darn you, tall grass!) so we kept it quite short. I was able to capture a few of her awesome smiles and fun personality though when we got back to their house. If you know this family, you know they’ve been through an awful lot this past year. Through their trials, they have taught me more about what true love and perseverance really looks like, and I know they have inspired so many to truly live each day to the fullest. This is one amazing mama for sure! We are all so blessed to have her, sweet baby L, and all five of them in our lives!
When this mama and I started talking about their family session, she suggested they have it right at their house. I typically like to take a family to a park or other open area but she said their home was just “so them” and I loved that! I love that we were able to capture these images at the place they spend the most time, the place they make so many other memories together, the place that is “so them!” It was such a fun front-porch session with sweet little girls and lovely fall light. Full of joy and happy in their own space. She even asked me to come back next year to do the same thing so they can see how their family has grown and incorporate the home they love. What a great idea! Thanks, friends, and I’m looking forward to next year!
